Busy Wedding Weekend!!!

231 days left...  Seems like an eternity still, but time is moving quickly!!!

Its been a busy wedding weekend for me.  Last night, I met with the wedding coordinator at Whitesburg.  We signed a contract, so we now "officially" have the church and fellowship dining hall reserved.  We are just one step closer!!!

Today we had our engagement photo shoot with our favorite photographer: Katie Dye.  She is just starting out in the photography world, but has such natural talent.  I know she'll be sucI'm dying for at least a sneak peek of what she did.  She's already texted me to say she took 340 pictures.  We spent about 3 1/2 hours out and about the city of Huntsville.  We climbed scaffolding and rocks (I was barefooted climbing rocks), laid in the grass, etc.  It was quite fun.  We are EXHAUSTED now though. 

Tonight is wedding free and will be spent at a multitude of fall festivals.  :)  Happy Halloween!

Its Rolling...

Well, I got my ring back on Wednesday.  It fits so much better!!!

Mom has been helping me with cutting and putting together boxes.  She cut 100 boxes on Thursday.  Makes things SOOO much easier.  We know have a total of 110 boxes put together.  390 to go!!!  haha...  Malea took 25 home with her this weekend which is going to help immensely. 

Matt and I spent last night putting together a guest list.  We were sitting on the couch, both of us on our laptops, just typing away.  I thought it was kinda funny.  We started our wedding website, which is still a major work in progress, but maybe by the end of the week that will be up and running too.  Registry items got worked on.  We've at least determined what each room is going to need and perused a few websites.  I get more and more excited everyday!!!

Bye, Bye Ring... Temporarily

Yesterday, I finally took my ring to a local jeweler to get it sized.  It was slipping off my finger and I was too nervous that it would permanently disappear.  They measured the ring which was a size 7.  Then, they measured my finger.  It was a 5 1/2!!!!  A 5 actually fit, but it made me nervous that it would be too tight if my finger swells in the summer.  I never thought my finger was that small though. 
This morning when I woke up and did my normal morning routine, it was so weird not to put it on.  It kinda threw off my groove.  Apparently, I enjoy routine more than I thought.  All day it was weird to not have it on my finger.  I'm ready to have it back!!!  Hopefully, I'll get it back on Thursday.  :)

More than I can chew???

Well, I have completed 69 favor boxes.  Just 69.  To some people, that may seem like a lot, but to the person who has to make 500 of them, its just a small dent.  I've figured out I have to make at least 71 a month for the next 7 months to get them done and not stress the last month before we get married.  I'm trying to get a little extra done on the quiet days so that when things get SUPER busy at Christmas, I can do less and not get behind.  Mom has offered to help with them and I intend on taking her up on it.
I also continued making thank you cards tonight.  I got 30 more done bringing my total up to over 100.  I still have a long way to go on those too, but they are fairly easy.
I know I'll be thankful to have all this done early, but I can't help but wonder... Have I bitten off more than I can chew???

Slowly getting more done...

Well, since I last posted, I went back to the store and was measured and ordered my dress.  It was TOTALLY exciting.  The part I don't like is waiting 4 months for it.  The part I will like even less than that is I will have to wait another 4 months after that to actually get to wear it.  haha... Don't even think for a second that I won't put it on and prance around in it from time to time.  : )
I picked bridesmaids dresses out.  I personally believe I should get bride of the year award for that one.  $40 on target.com.  I love bargains.  I just need to decide either a white or turquoise sash to go with them.  Hopefully, if I can find an amazing flower girl dress for fairly cheap too...  Abby and I had a chat yesterday about her dress... She is SUPER excited and can't wait to be all dressed up.  The kid is funny!  I told her yesterday I didn't know she like Strawberry Shortcake.  She said "Yes you did.  You got me something Strawberry Shortcake for my birthday before."  I said, "Sorry Abs, I don't remember that.  I must be losing my mind."  Her response, "You're mind is just filled with wedding things."  hahaha... Boy, does she know me.
